U510 UV Laser
Our U510 laser is ideally suited for creating indelible, highly precise coding onto today’s plastic packaging materials. The UV laser can code directly onto white and coloured substrates without the need for laser activated fields. Designed for Industry 4.0 requirements the compact all-in-one U510 integrates easily into modern production lines. The U510 UV laser excels on modern, sustainable packaging developments such as recyclable flexible mono-material polymers, including thin films.
Are you are looking for a worry-free solution to add indelible marks to plastic substrates for product identification? Discover the U510 UV laser: The compact all-in-one laser coder excels on modern sustainable packaging developments such as recyclable flexible mono-material polymers including thin films. Utilising UV light coding is achieved by a photochemical reaction in the top layer of substrates, which keeps the protective barrier of packaging intact and enables the marking of white and coloured products anywhere, without the need for laser-activated fields.
Resulting in crisp, high contrast white codes on dark coloured materials and black codes on light coloured materials. Line integration is simplified by the all-in-one controller and laser unit; an IP55 rating makes the U510 an ideal fit for wet or dusty production environments. With the option to connect to the Domino Cloud, the U510 is designed for Industry 4.0 requirements.
Features:
- The U510 laser pulse has an extremely short wavelength and high absorption rate which minimises thermal stress and soot particle build. Even very thin, sensitive packaging films can be coded safely.
- Coding white and coloured plastics: the laser pulse reacts with titanium dioxide (TiO2) to achieve highly contrasting codes.
- With a marking field up to 326x326mm the U510 is particularly suitable for wide web applications.
- The adjustable U510 scan-head can be mounted in horizontal or vertical orientation.
- The U510 unit is dust and water protected (IP55) for reliable operation and long lifetime even in challenging production environments.
